Salary Range: $75,000–$100,000 annually

Clearance: Active Secret clearance required at the time of hire

Tactica Solutions LLC is seeking a Junior AI Integration Analyst to help turn emerging Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI capabilities into secure, practical tools for Department of Defense mission and business operations.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building and evaluating AI solutions, improving business processes, and translating complex technical capabilities into tools that military and civilian stakeholders can use with confidence.

The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), automation, data analysis, software development, or systems integration. The candidate should be eager to learn, able to communicate clearly, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment with military, civilian, and contractor stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, integrate, configure, test, and evaluate AI and Generative AI solutions that support business and mission operations.
  • Build and improve Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agent-based workflows.
  • Design RAG pipelines involving document ingestion, chunking, metadata, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval, reranking, and response generation.
  • Conduct research, testing, and data analysis to assess AI tools, platforms, models, and automation approaches to supporting the stakeholders.
  • Support Identification, documentation, and mitigation of AI security and operational risks, including:
    • Unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information
    • Prompt injection
    • Insecure tool or system access
    • Hallucinated or unsupported outputs
    • Excessive system permissions
    • Inappropriate reliance on AI-generated information
  • Help develop and execute test plans, evaluation criteria, human-in-the-loop review processes, and safety guardrails for AI-enabled workflows.
  • Translate complex AI technologies into clear, actionable tools and recommendations for non-technical military and civilian stakeholders.
  • Present technical findings, demonstrations, risks, and implementation recommendations to leadership and mission partners.
  • Develop user guides, standard operating procedures, process flows, training materials, technical documentation, and implementation plans.
  • Manage multiple technical activities and priorities while meeting customer and program deadlines.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • One to three years of professional experience in software integration, systems analysis, automation, data analytics, software development, or a related technical field.
  • At least one year of hands-on experience developing, integrating, configuring, testing, or evaluating Artificial Intelligence or Generative AI solutions. This year may be included within the years of overall professional experience.
  • Foundational knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Large Language Models, data analytics, automation, or software integration concepts applicable to business or mission operations.
  • Basic understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation architecture, including document ingestion, chunking, metadata, embeddings, vector databases, retrieval, reranking, and response generation.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming, scripting, automation, or data-analysis tool or language, such as Python, SQL, Power Automate, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to follow established security, privacy, governance, and documentation procedures when working with AI-enabled systems and data.
  • Ability to identify when an AI output may require additional validation, human review, or escalation to a senior team member.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Active Secret clearance at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are helpful but are not required for consideration:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities within Palantir Foundry environments, including Maven, Army Vantage, or APAS.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, or related tools.
  • Familiarity with military supply-chain, logistics, acquisition, or financial-management systems, such as GFEBS or GCSS-Army.
  • Experience implementing human-in-the-loop workflows, AI evaluation processes, or safety guardrails in secure government or enterprise environments.
  • Experience developing technical documentation, user guides, standard operating procedures, training materials, process maps, and implementation documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Existing Top-Secret clearance.

Candidates who meet the required qualifications are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every preferred qualification.

What Success Looks Like

A successful candidate will:

  • Approach AI as a practical mission-enablement tool rather than applying AI to every problem.
  • Balance innovation with security, reliability, governance, and responsible use.
  • Build solutions that are understandable, testable, and maintainable.
  • Work effectively with technical teams, program leadership, military personnel, and other mission stakeholders.
  • Recognize when human review and decision authority must remain part of an AI-enabled process.
  • Convert technical capabilities into workflows that provide measurable value to the customer.
