Overview

Tactica Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Contracts Manager for a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) contract supporting the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer (DCSENG) for facilities engineering & sustainment and environmental planning & compliance on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

The Senior Contracts Manager supports a complex U.S. Army Base Operations Support (BOS) contract and serves as the primary contractual liaison between the contractor, the Army Contracting Command (ACC), the Installation Management Command (IMCOM), and other mission partners. This role ensures all contractual actions are compliant with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), Army-specific acquisition policies, and contract terms. Operating in a high-tempo environment, the Lead Contracts Manager oversees contract execution, modifications, funding actions, and performance reporting across a broad spectrum of BOS services, while managing requirements from multiple Army stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary interface with U.S. Army Contracting Officers (KO), Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), and installation mission partners.
  • Ensure full compliance with FAR, DFARS, Army Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFARS), and applicable command policies (e.g., AR 715-30).
  • Manage all contract modifications, option exercises, equitable adjustments, and funding actions in support of evolving Army installation needs.
  • Track and report on contract performance, obligations, burn rates, and deliverables using Army-specific systems or reporting formats.
  • Support and interpret task orders, Delivery Orders (DOs), and Statements of Work (SOWs) to align with BOS service areas (e.g., facility maintenance, transportation, logistics, and utilities).
  • Collaborate with Army stakeholders to forecast requirements and resolve contract issues across multiple mission areas.
  • Maintain detailed, audit-ready contract files in accordance with U.S. Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS) standards.
  • Provide guidance to internal project teams and subcontractors regarding contract requirements, flow-down clauses, and compliance.
  • Assist with proposal development and responses to U.S. Army Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and contract data calls.
  • Advise program leadership on contractual risks, performance metrics, and cost control in a multi-mission, multi-partner environment.

Responsibilities

Requiements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and 10 years of experience managing Federal Government contracts.
  • Contract management experience is required with all contract types, working expertise with the FAR and agency supplements.
  • Experience with Government contracting issues such as conflict of interest, request for equitable adjustment, funding realignment, and security in government contracting.
  • Working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS.
  • Working knowledge of GSA schedules and GSA functions.
  • Understands the financial aspects of contracts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
    Knowledge of U.S. Army rank and grade structure, and government civilian pay scale equivalencies, regulations, and other organizations specific to the USASMDC.
    General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) data management tool familiarity.
  • Active security clearance with current investigation, a plus.

Physical Requirements: Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000
